Composite bonding in Littleborough

Composite bonding is a gentle way to improve your smile. Tooth-coloured resin is sculpted onto your teeth to fix chips, close gaps and even out shape, usually in a single visit.

About composite bonding

Bonding uses the same tooth-coloured composite as our white fillings, applied to the surface of the tooth and shaped by hand. Because it is added rather than removed, the underlying tooth is rarely disturbed and an anaesthetic is rarely needed.

It is a great option for small, natural-looking changes. Like natural teeth, bonding can stain or chip over time and may need polishing or topping up every few years.

Good to know

Composite Bonding: your questions answered

How much is composite bonding?

Composite bonding is £300 per tooth.

Does bonding hurt?

Usually not. Because resin is added to the surface of the tooth, there is normally no need for drilling or an injection.

Should I whiten my teeth first?

Often, yes. Bonding is matched to the shade of your teeth and does not whiten, so if you want brighter teeth it is best to whiten first.

Bonding or veneers?

Bonding is quicker, cheaper and gentler, and ideal for smaller changes. Porcelain veneers are more stain-resistant and suit bigger transformations. We will tell you honestly which suits you.
