  Dr Khalid Mushtaq graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine & Dentistry. He has lived in Rochdale all his life and is passionate about contributing to the local community that is so dear to him.

  He has been appointed to care for patients through domiciliary services and prison dental care and, in partnership with Dr Nazia Uddin, oversees the emergency out-of-hours dental care for patients in the area. He is currently Chair of the Bury & Rochdale Local Dental Committee.

  Dr Mushtaq is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and was a clinical tutor at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) for around seven years. He is an approved mentor to newly qualified dentists and nurses, a BDA Good Practice assessor and a GDC inspector. These roles keep him, and the whole team, fluent in the very latest dental training and protocols.

  Outside the practice he enjoys long-distance running and squash, and spending time with his family, who share his love of Rochdale.

  Dr Yasser Khan qualified at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He joined Littleborough Dental Practice in the summer of 2010, works here full time, and also provides emergency dental services at BARDOC in Bury.

  He strives for the highest standards of dentistry and patient comfort, understands the importance of good communication, and always makes sure your treatment feels calm and relaxing. He takes time to understand exactly what you need, so together you get the result you want.

  Outside work, Dr Khan enjoys all sports and is a keen traveller.

  Dr Nazia Uddin graduated from the University of Liverpool and has lived in Lancashire all her life. Her career spans the Mersey and North West Deaneries across Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire.

  She was the first associate dentist to care for patients at Littleborough Dental Practice, and has been instrumental in its growth ever since. She is an educational supervisor to newly qualified dentists and has studied for Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF).

  Dr Uddin has attended advanced courses including at Harley Street in London, and has completed a restorative course that has made her treatment highly sought after by both NHS and private patients. In partnership with Dr Mushtaq, she oversees the emergency out-of-hours dental care for patients from Heywood, Middleton, Rochdale and Bury.

  Dr Mohammed Yusuf graduated from the University of Sheffield. He has lived in Greater Manchester all his life and is passionate about giving back to his local community.

  He is dedicated to high-quality, evidence-based dentistry and is working towards membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. Having worked with adults with special needs, he has developed techniques to relax and settle patients, reducing the anxiety many people feel about visiting the dentist.

  Outside work, Dr Yusuf enjoys travelling and time with his family.

  Practice Manager

  Justine Lockett

  Justine joined Littleborough Dental Practice in August 2008 as a dental receptionist, soon became head of reception, and after further training became Practice Manager. She also manages Bury Dental Practice.

  She works with reception, the head nurse and the clinical team so the practice runs smoothly, and she is often your first point of contact, making sure you are looked after during your visit.

  Outside work, Justine loves spending time with friends and family.
